Strange but True

Occasionally, I’ll check around online to see what the strange offerings are. The weird, the unbelievable, the “Whoa, what were they thinking when they listed THAT?” type item. You know, like the bag of yarn remnants with one knitting needle. (Which I actually did purchase, in hopes that I’d be able to use the yarn to finish a knitting project started more than two years ago.) What about the grilled cheese sandwich in a baggie? Or, um, the used nursing pads. Who wants to buy those? Or, maybe you’d be interested in the mummified chicken egg shaped like a skull, the swan shaped pork rind or the prison issue eyeglass case. I know that they’d make my life complete.

What is the strangest, most bizarre item you’ve ever seen available for auction , purchase or trade? Have you ever thought about listing something out of the ordinary - if so, share it with us!

I remember one auction that I saw a few years ago that the guy was selling everything he owned. He listed all of his possessions, even updated it to add a stick of gum. He was looking for a fresh start and that began with getting rid of everything he owned. I wish I could remember his ID to see what he is doing now.

On Craiglist in SF, CA, someone once listed a “still-good shoelace” that someone may need AND another post was for an egg donor…a man wanted a child. These were both in all seriousness! There were some others too, but maybe too much to list here!
