Sports equipment has a LONG LIFE

And a smelly one, apparently. At least if you come over to my house.

Three of my children play soccer. One runs cross country and plays football. The ones that play soccer, practice three times a week, so those cleats and shin guards, balls and soccer goals get heavy use. We’ve always saved every single pair of cleats passed our way, every set of shin guards and every ball. I’m not kidding you - we have an extra bureau in the garage and the top two are for shin guards, knee pads and football kicking tees. The bottom drawers hold all cleats, all the time. All of my friends and neighbors know that we save the equipment, and it’s not unusual for me to open the front door and stumble over a bag of donations. We’ll take ‘em - if we don’t need them right now, I know that one of the kids will need them sooner or later. That was of course until I discovered Zwaggle.

That’s the thing about sports gear - it really has a long life. You can pass it on to another family that can put it to good use long after your kids are done it. Looking through the listings on Zwaggle, there are tons of wonderful skates, cleats, a set of sparring gear, helmets, lacrosse pads - the list is seemingly endless. With my new knowledge of Zwaggle, I can now list those outgrown items, helping other families obtain the equipment that they need, and frolic in the extra space in my garage. Sweet!

Now that the spring sport season is headed to a halt - pardon me while I rejoice - take the opportunity to clean out the garage, the closet, the sports bags and list those outgrown and unneeded items. And then use your Zoints to purchase larger sizes.

And then steal away to enjoy a few sports free moments. Fall sports are just around the corner.
