Q: I'm not in the United States, can I still join?

A: For the time being membership is restricted to those residing within the United States. We have plans to expand Zwaggle to other countries and we will keep the entire community notified. If you believe you have a compelling network of parents to start Zwaggle in your country, please Request An Invitation using the link on the right, and give us some more information.


Q: I did not complete the sign-up process. How do I continue?

A: Good question...?


Q: Can I sign up or trade without a credit card?

A: Unfortunately you can only join with a valid credit card. We use this for two purposes, first to validate your home address and second so that when shipping charges apply we know there won't be a problem. However rest assured, you will not be charged without your prior approval.


Q: How do I post an item?

A: Go to the "Post an Item" link on the right. Following the four step process

  1. Describe your item
  2. Value your item
  3. Pick shipping options
  4. Preview and Post

If you don't get all the way through the process, you can save a partial post and come back to it later by going to the "My Posted Items" tab and clicking on that item in the list.


Q: What's My Posted Items?

A: The "My Posted Items" page contains all of the items that you have posted, where they've traded or not, and any items you are in the process of posting. This is also the best place track the Zoints you've earned my trading your items.


Q: What's My Acquired Items?

A: The "My Acquired Items" page contains all of the items that you've either acquire or are in the process of acquiring. This is also the best place to track the Zoints you've spent trading for all that new gear for your kids.


Q: What's my Wish List?

A: Your wishlist contains items that are not currently available but you'd be interested in trading Zoints for. You can specify a wishlist item by type, location or delivery/shipping preference. Once an item is posted by another member that meets your criteria, you will be notified via email so you can log on and check it out.


Q: How do I send a message to another Zwaggle member?

A: Currently, the only way to send a message to another member is if you've either transacted with them in the past of are currently trading with them. If this is the case, just go to the messaging tab on the right and click on the subject line next to their name, type a message and hit send.


You can also send a member a message from the "contact seller" button found at the bottom of any item detail page.


Q: How can I refer a friend?

A: To invite a friend to join the Zwaggle community, click on the "Refer a Friend" tab to the right. Enter as much information as you have, but at the minimum you'll need their email and first name. You can also customize the message box or just use the provide invitation message. When you're done, click the "send invitation" button at the bottom.


Q: How can I change my password?

A: Simply click on the "change my password" link to the right. Enter your current password once and then your new one twice and hit "submit".


Q: What if I'm unhappy with an item?

A: Zwaggle's goal is for every member to be happy with their trade. In the event you are unhappy with the item you received, we will refund your points. However, inorder to receive your refund, you must follow these steps:

  • Once you receive the item, you will have 48 hours to dispute the item via the "dispute this item" icon on the "My Acquired Items".
  • If you don't dispute the item within 48 hours the trade is closed and no refund will be provided
  • After that you will need to ship the item back to us at:

Once we receive the item, we will review the complaint and get back to you shortly thereafter with our decision which will be one of three possible outcomes:

  1. We agree with your complaint - the seller will be charged the return shipping fee and given one demerit
  2. We disagree with your complaint - you (the buyer) will be charged the return shipping fee and given one demerit
  3. This was a simple misunderstanding and Zwaggle with pay the return shipping charges and we give ourselves a demerit and work to improve the process so this doesn't happen again.

Q: How can I update the "My account" information?

A: Simply log on to the site. Once in, click the "My Account" tab on the right. When login, the "My Account" page section is automatically in edit mode. Change, add, delete anything you wish and when you're done, just click "Update" at the bottom of the page and your changes will be saved.


Q: How do I cancel my account?

A: Send an email to subscriptions@zwaggle.com with the subject line "cancel membership". You are free to cancel your membership at anytime, but no refunds will be given in the event a membership fees existing in the future.


Q: When am I charged a shipping fee?

A: When "Buyer pays shipping" is part of the trade conditions, you are responsible to pay the shipping costs. Always review the shipping or delivery options available to you (the buyer) before accepting a trade. Before your card is charged we will let you know the exact amount and ask for your approval.


Q: What's a Zoint?

A: Zoints are the points that are used as virtual currency within the system.


Q: Why Zoints instead of cash?

A:

  • It's easier to value your items. Determining the exact value of an item to sell can be extremely difficult and with cash people want to be as exact as possible. Zoints is not an exact science but a medium to help parents provide for their family. With the easy to use Zoints valuation tool, one can quickly determine the value of an item. Since Zoints stay in the system, there are fewer concerns of under or overpricing an item. The value is only relative to other items in the system, not one's bank account or net worth.
  • Zwaggle is about the community not the profit. Using Zoints instead of cash eliminates the potential for Zwaggle members to profit off one another. The goal of Zwaggle is to provide for families at the least cost possible. If making a few bucks is the end goal, there are many other avenues.
  • Keeps the resources focused on the kids. Cash is used for many purposes. Zoints is used for only one - providing for one's children. By using Zoints instead of cash, families can dedicate themselves to outfitting their kids without the worry of monetary distractions.
  • A more efficient transfer of value. With Zoints you receive more value for your item than if it was converted to cash and then back into another item. Zoints convert directly into goods your family needs, no taxes, no inflation, no mark ups. Simple, easy, efficient.


Q: How are Zoints assigned?

A: You have the final say in what Zoints value your items receive. The easy to use Zwaggle valuation tool which is part of the "Post an Item" process helps you with this process, but the Zoints value calculated is merely a suggested value. Feel free to adjust this Zoint value if you feel it needs to be.


Q: How do I earn Zoints?

A: You earn Zoints in three ways:

  1. By signing up
  2. By referring a friend and
  3. By trading items.


Q: When do I get Zoints for referring friends?

A: You will have 20 Zoints deposited into your account when your referral completes the sign up process with Zwaggle. You can track the status of your referrals by clicking on the "View Invitation History" under the "Refer a Friend" link on the right side of the page.


Q: When do I get Zoints for trading?

A: When the transaction is complete. Zoints will be credited to your account when the buyer acknowledges receiving and satisfaction with the item or 48 hours after the item has been delivery or picked up, whichever comes first. Since the sooner the transaction is complete the sooner you will receive your Zoints, it is your best interest to ship/delivery/arrange a pick up time as quick as possible.


Q: What's a pending Zoint?

A: Zoints are pending if you're a seller and the transaction has not yet been completed. As soon as a you accept a buyers offer for trade, the zoints are put into a pending account. The are held there until the transaction is completed and the buyer is satisfied with the item. Since you can not use those Zoints until the transaction is complete, its in your best interest to ship, deliver or arrange for a pick up of the item as soon as possible.


Q: Can I use my Zoints to buy items not listed on Zwaggle?

A: There is no conversion of Zoints to real currency. Zoints exist solely within the Zwaggle marketplace. At a future time Zoints may be used to convert into other goods available outside the Zwaggle community, but for now that will not be the case.


Q: Where can I view my Zoints history?

A: By clicking on "My Acquired Items" or "My Posted Items" you can see how many Zoints ypu've earned and how many you've spent. You can also click on the "Refer a Friend" link and click transaction history to see how many Zoints you've earned by referrals.


Q: Why a referral only membership?

A: Think if it as though your being introduced to a giant group of friends. With a referral only community, members feel confident that even strangers share the same common interest of a trusted community and are mindful and respectful of one another.


Q: Is there an auction process or can I bid more for an item if there are multiple buyers?

A: No.


Q: Why is there no auction process?

A: We have eliminated the auction process for two reasons.

  1. Wasted time. On Zwaggle, there's no waiting to see what the price will be or waiting for an auction to end. What the seller is asking is the price at which it will trade; no more, no less and you can receive your new item soon thereafter.
  2. Keepin' it fair. Allowing members with more Zoints to outbid members with fewer points could deny some members the ability to provide for their children. Since the goal of Zwaggle is to help all families, this would good against the spirit of Zwaggle and is therefore not allowed


Q: Does my item have to be a certain quality to trade?

A: We prefer that you trade only items that are in good and useable condition. So while you are free to trade any item you wish, you are not allowed to charge any Zoints for an item that is in poor condition. If you trade another member for an item that is in poor condition you will not be allowed to continue to trade on Zwaggle.


Q: How can I determine the quality of the item?

A: Rules of Thumb:
Like New: If was still in the box you'd never know the difference
Very Nice: Very few signs of usage.
Good: Used but still in high quality condition.
Fair: It works and looks fine but there's no doubt it been used.
Poor: Doesn't work properly, dirty and beat up. You wouldn't want someone sending it to you.


Q: What are my shipping or delivery options?

A: There are four options for shipping or delivery

  1. The person giving the item pays for the shipping (Shipper Pays)
  2. The person receiving the item pays for the shipping (Recipient Pays)
  3. The item is dropped off (Drop Off) by the person giving the item
  4. The item is picked up (Pick Up) by the person receiving the item


Q: How do I ship an item?

A: If the item is small enough and you can package it yourself, then simply use the link to Fed Ex where you will be able to schedule a pick up and print a shipping label without every leaving your home. If you have any questions during the process you can email us or contact Fed Ex directly at 1-800-GO FED EX.


If the item is too large to package yourself, the take it to the nearest FedEx Kinkos location , and they will package it and ship it for you. Use your Zwaggle account number and receive discounted rates.


Q: How do I arrange a pick up or delivery with another member?

A: Once the transaction is accepted, use the Zwaggle messaging system to arrange a convient time for both parties and use the Google Maps link to map out the location.


Q: How do I search for an item?

A: There are two options to search for an item:

  1. Use the category map to the left. You can easier view the top level categories and simply click on one to view the subcategories. The number is parathesis is the number of items available in that particular category
  2. You can do a key word search using the search box in the bottom left corner of the page
